      Try your luck with an Omron dice-playing cobot – and see other exciting robotic solutions in action at PACK EXPO 2019!

      We’re looking forward to demoing some of our robotic solutions at the upcoming PACK EXPO show in Las Vegas this September! This trade show draws over 30,000 industry professionals annually and provides a unique opportunity for you to check out some of the most exciting developments in packaging technology today.

    Since the use of robotic packaging technologies has increased by nearly 48 percent in consumer goods and close to 30 percent in the life sciences industry, PACK EXPO has introduced a new area specifically focused on robotic solutions. That’s where you’ll have the unique opportunity to play dice with an Omron TM Series collaborative robot! (It’s Vegas, after all.)

    In addition to the dice-playing cobot, our PACK EXPO displays will include the following:

    • The “Thrill of Creation” pick-and-place demo. This interactive demo showcases several Omron robots, a high-speed FH-5050 vision system, a MicroHAWK MV-40 smart camera, a control system featuring the NX102 machine automation controller, NX Series safety control, and the PackML library to govern all processes.
    • Laser marker demo. Our state-of-the-art laser marking technology is combined with vision, our NY IPC and the powerful InduSoft software platform to scan your badge and create a personalized product just for you.
    • Safety demo. As your trusted partner in safety, we’ve created an elaborate demo featuring several products we offer, including the F3SG-RA light curtain, the CM Series non-contact door switches, the D4SL solenoid activated door lock, the OS32C safety scanner, the UMQ safety mats, the TS Series two-hand pushbutton and more.
    • Fishtank demo. This unique display features several of our popular barcode reading and machine vision technologies, including several MicroHAWK code readers and smart cameras, the HAWK MV-4000 smart camera and the QX-870 1D code reader.
    • Mobile robot demo. No trade show is complete without an Omron LD mobile robot! Our autonomous intelligent vehicles (AIVs) will be zipping around to deliver items to attendees and facilitate tours of the space.

    In addition, we’ll be sponsoring the PACK EXPO greeter robot, which will welcome you to the Robotics Zone and point you towards inspiring displays showcasing the harmony between humans and machines that Omron’s technologies make possible. You’ll also have a chance to speak with some of our experts and share some of your visions for your own packaging lines.

The show runs September 23-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and the Robotics Zone (where you can check out the Omron cobot) will be located in Booth N-850 in the North Hall.
