Statement from OMRON on the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by the unprecedented events we see unfolding around us.

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL, March 17, 2020 – We appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world on the front lines working to contain the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). I personally want to assure you that we are continually monitoring and adapting our operations and business to ensure a safe, healthy workplace while continuing to provide the best service possible. We have faced many challenges over the years, and we are a better organization because of them, and we are better prepared to face a situation like this. Our highest priority remains the care of our team members and our customers.

We are constantly working with our factories and warehouses to maintain a constant flow of products to the market. We also have a standard business continuity plan we have implemented to allow our teams to work from home as necessary. We have the capability to provide remote services and consulting in many areas, and we will leverage that capability to meet your needs. We are similarly diligent that our employees are consistently instituting appropriate health and safety measures if there is a critical need to serve our customers in person. If there are on-site services currently scheduled that need to be postponed to a later date, we are committed to work with your organization to accommodate your needs. Our plans and actions related to this COVID-19 matter will be aligned with those of your organization so that the best possible outcome can be achieved.

In addition, we understand that many of your normal operations may be interrupted during this time, and there may be a need to invest your time wisely in productive activities.
