What you’ll see at the Omron booth

Get an up-close look at booth no. 314 for solutions that improve process control and product quality, minimize the impact of recalls, and ensure part traceability in challenging environments. Our traceability demo using the Sysmac platform mimics an automated manufacturing process to highlight advanced motion, machine control, safety, and quality.

Featured Omron products include:

  • RFID reader/writer technology
  • MicroHAWK barcode readers for 2D optical code recognition
  • FH Series vision system for advanced color inspection and error-proofing
  • Laser measurement devices

The demo also features database connectivity allowing data to be easily exchanged with cloud-based systems or in-house databases for IIoT initiatives. In addition to the traceability demo, we will feature several standalone solutions for code reading and verification.

Visit the Detroit PoCC when you’re done at the show

Our Detroit Proof of Concept Center (PoCC) is less than 10 minutes away from the Suburban Collection Showplace (and also on Grand River Avenue), so be sure to check it out after you visit our booth at the conference!

We’ll be serving light refreshments while our regional application engineers give you a tour of the facility that includes a hands-on traceability experience in a simulated manufacturing process.

Breakout session on Traceability 4.0

Successful Industry 4.0 solutions require a solid traceability initiative. You’ll learn more about building a thorough traceability system in the breakout session run by our very own Eric Henefield.

Eric is the Global Director of Omron’s traceability business, and he will explore how the Traceability 4.0 concept optimizes productivity and quality by binding together the process, equipment, material, and even operator data to the tracked product ID.
